Let Us Celebrate the Unity That Evolves Us (OJUDE OBA, ÌJÈBÚ ODE)
P(
In a time when humanity often clings to what divides us, we at World Builderr stand firmly in the truth that:
Any history that unites people — that uplifts their dignity and spirit — is worth celebrating. And any history that divides us, breaks our identity, or poisons our collective memory must be healed — not repeated.
Unity Is Not Just Peace — It Is Evolution
Unity isn’t born from convenience—it comes from divine strategy. True unity honors every voice while weaving a common destiny. This is how human consciousness grows — rising above ego to co-create a collective future.
The Ìjèbú Example: Where Faith Rebuilt Community
In Ijebuland, deep cultural heritage continues to thrive through festivals like Agemo, etc, and various Òrìsà celebrations. These rituals connect communities to ancestral wisdom and spiritual foundations. Yet over time, Ojude Oba has risen in prominence—gaining wider visibility, organization, and participation both nationally and internationally.
However, this does not diminish the value of other traditions. Each festival holds unique spiritual significance and contributes to the rich essence of our identity.
“While Ojude Oba has become the most vibrant and widely celebrated festival in Ijebuland, other cultural festivals such as Agemo etc remain vital to our heritage and identity. The prominence of one should not diminish the value of the others — there's room for all to thrive without conflict.”
Historically, Ìjèbú land hosted vibrant festivals — the Obanta Festival, the Ode Nla Festival, and others — celebrations of culture and lineage that once brought people together. Over time, interest in these traditions waned. Yet something remarkable resurfaced to tie the community once again:
The annual Muslim festival in Ìjèbúland, inspired by Islam, capturing hearts and drawing Ijebu sons and daughters home. This festival has evolved over decades to become one of the most powerful unifying events in Nigeria — even Africa.
This is the kind of history we must celebrate — the kind that weaves faith, identity, and return into something sacred and memorable.
Stop Celebrating What Divides Us
Not all history builds. Some holds us captive to old wounds, tribal divides, and political fear.
Let us stop exalting the stories that separate us.
Instead, let us choose the ones that gather us — that remind us we are part of something larger.
World Builderr’s Spiritual Mandate
At World Builderr, we are here to build spiritual bridges, not walls. And like the revival of Ìjèbúland — where Islam brought back a shared sense of place — we aim to revive that sacred synergy of faith, culture, and belonging.
Our guiding question is simple:
Does this history or tradition unite and uplift us?
If yes, we celebrate it, we honor it, and we build upon it. Let’s Celebrate What Ties Us Together
Festivals like Obanta and Ode Nla have cultural worth.
The Muslim festival of Ìjèbú Ode has its worth too.
And that unity is precious:
a testimony that faith and identity can work together to bring us home in spirit and in body.
Build With What Unites
When unity and tradition converge — greatness is born. And when people return, not by force or fear, but by faith and love — we taste the divine.
Let’s celebrate unity—not as nostalgia, but as momentum for tomorrow.
